Welcome to my group practice. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 34345) based in Oakland, CA. I provide individual psychotherapy from my office in the Temescal neighborhood, with availability for in-person and telehealth services. In addition, I provide training and consultation on trauma-informed psychotherapy and deep listening skills for both clinicians and educators.
I am a proud Oakland resident, "mama" to a little one, a lover of a delicious shared meal or conversation, and a life-long learner. I look forward to getting to know you as well.
Experience & Training
I have over a decade of experience in psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and research. I completed my predoctoral training within a range of inpatient, forensic, and community mental health clinics, and culminated my training through a doctoral internship at San Quentin State Prison. Throughout my training, I developed research on the intersections of structural discrimination, belonging, and the treatment of complex trauma. After earning my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA, I completed my post-doctoral training as a psychologist within Core Insights Psychological Group, where I offered treatment across the life span.
My comprehensive training focused on understanding the impact of systems on individuals, including cultural systems, institutional systems, and family systems. I enjoy working across the lifespan, with a focus on adolescents and adults, and treat a variety of concerns including relationship issues, chronic trauma & PTSD, anxiety, panic, depression, life transitions, and substance abuse. While I consider myself a generalist and believe in the benefits of a holistic and comprehensive perspective on mental health, I hold special training and interest in working with identity development, minority mental health, and chronic trauma.
In addition to my private practice, I am on the faculty of the long-standing Stanley King Institute for Deep Listening, through which I provide consultation and training on deep listening skills for providers and educators. I provide trainings on the unique mental health needs of adolescents, and how to build a sense of wellness and connection with adolescents and young adults.
